THE FOLLOWING APPEARED IN OUR INBOX, FROM A YOUNG GREEK AMERICAN ACTIVIST, ALEX...
Greek Americans who supported Hilary in the beginning refused to acknowledge Obama's excellent record on the issues. Not only this. Obama has excellent Greek friends in Chicago including Illinios State Treasurer Alex Giannoulias.
Giannoulias was elected in 2006 and is in his early 30's. Obama is challenging the status quo and the DC establishment elite who are supporting Hilary.Obama is raising money from middle class, and low income people while Hilary is tapping special interests associated with Bill Clinton.
I read a book in 2002 how the Clintons are a marriage of convenience. The book revealed how Hilary had ambition to run for President using her husband. Any women would have divorced Bill when the Monica scandal happened. She never divorced. This is a sign that this woman is using her husband to get higher office. We had two generation of the Bush family in the White House which was a disaster. Another Clinton would be a castrophe.

STATE DEPT SELLING OFF MACEDONIA
STATE DEPARTMENT REGULAR BRIEFING BRIEFER: SEAN MCCORMACK 12 Feb 2008
Lambros
Q Mr. McCormack, any readout on today's meeting between Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and the foreign minister of FYROM, Antonio Milososki?
MR. MCCORMACK: The Macedonian foreign minister and the secretary had a good meeting.
They talked about Macedonia's application to join NATO. They talked about Kosovo. And the subset of the issue related to NATO, they talked about the name issue -- so-called name issue with respect to Macedonia.
And our bottom line, which the secretary reiterated, is we urged Macedonia, as we will urge the Greek foreign minister, when the secretary sees her later in the week, to fully participate in the process that is being run by the secretary-general's special representative, Nimitz. He's working hard on this issue and we urge them to use that process and use the good offices of Ambassador Nimitz to find a resolution to the issue.
Q Yes, one more. On the bilateral level, any concrete effort, like mediation, by Secretary Rice for a solution on the name issue, as you said, between Greece and FYROM?
MR. MCCORMACK: Now see, replay what I just said. She urged them to use that process, use the process that is being run by the secretary-general's special representative. She urged them to -- she urged the foreign minister to use that process to find a solution, as she will urge the Greek foreign minister when she sees her on Thursday.
Q Who initiated --
Q And again there were no suggestions of possible new names?
MR. MCCORMACK: No. No.

What They Are Saying Missus Kounelakis,a.k.a Eleni Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis , Hillary's Greek
The bland Hillary promo published in the San Francisco Chronicle, from the self-proclaimed Chair of Greek Americans For Clinton, is capped with the latest commentary below:
Eleni Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis is related to the Tsakopoulos family, they are triple digit millionaires out in California, whenever Bill Clinton visited northern California, he always stayed in Tsakopoulos' house. Its unfortunate that these muhtari (a word from Cyprus to describe Greeks who pose as "leaders" but are really just the representatives of their pockets and of Cyprus' Turkish slave masters) pose as reps of the Greek Americans, in fact, they represent their own business interests. These guys surrounding Tsakopoulos and Manatos are self-serving, selfish, shady businessmen, and elixir salesmen, prostituting the torture, missing people, and ethnic cleansing of people in Cyprus for their own personal side businesses. Shame on Tsakopoulos, Shame on Chris SPIROU and all others grouping around Andrew Manatos's "saxonaki" face and backroom deals.
This was also found on a message board:
Same goes for the clique of muhtari surrounding the Anglo-Saxon-look-alike third generation Washington DC-lobbyist Andrew Manatos, indeed, Chris Spirou is a front man for Manatos lobby interests as are a handful of others posing as "leaders", indeed, Manatos and the clique of muhtari that are with him, prostitute the national issues and misrepresent true Greek American public opinion.
Chris Spirou and Philip Christopher did lobby on behalf of the Milosevic regime, because Manatos was Milosevic's official paid lobbyist in Washington DC in the 1990s, and they are Manatos fronts.
A young Greek American at a Greek Americans for OBAMA event, last night, in New York, called this Chris Spirou and his "Save Aghia Sofia" project a total fake, when he visited the site, all the links were down, and his email to Chris Spirou was sent back to him.

STATE DEPT CONTINUES ERADICATION OF MACEDONIANS AND ALL HELLAS
The following was passed on to us by our Washington DC-contacts, yesterday afternoon....
STATE DEPARTMENT REGULAR BRIEFING 8.2.2008 BRIEFER: TOM CASEY
STATE DEPARTMENT REGULAR BRIEFING BRIEFER: TOM CASEY, DEPARTMENT ACTING SPOKESMAN LOCATION: STATE DEPARTMENT BRIEFING ROOM, WASHINGTON, D.C. TIME: 1:04 P.M. EST DATE: FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2008
Okay. Mr. Lambros.
Q Yes, on FYROM. Mr. Casey --
MR. CASEY: Yes, Mr. Lambros?
Q Mr. Casey, you stated yesterday, quote, "I know Mr. Nimetz has put forward a new proposal of his own to the group," unquote. Do you mean the last one, totally a new one, or he's going to submit another one?
MR. CASEY: Mr. Lambros, I'm happy to clarify that for you. As you know, in Washington the definition of "new" doesn't always fit that definition in the real world.
But just to make clear, the -- Special Representative Nimetz suggested a framework paper to the parties in November, and that's the framework agreement that I was referring to and think that provides a promising basis on which to pursue an agreement on this issue.
So that's the proposal in question. It's relatively new, but I can certainly understand why my referring to it as a new proposal yesterday would have confused --
Q So it really is the previous one.
MR. CASEY: It is the one -- it is the framework paper to the parties that was given to them in November.
Q One more question. You also said yesterday that you will be pleased to support any agreement by the two parties, Greece and FYROM. Therefore, I'm wondering if you are going to implement it revoking your decision of November 4, 2004, which created so many problems without reason.
MR. CASEY: Mr. Lambros, the U.S. decision to recognize the Republic of Macedonia by its constitutional name was very clear. It was explained to you at the time. Certainly, though, in terms of the two countries, we hope that they will reach a(n) equitable agreement in terms of a settlement of this long-standing issue. And again, we will welcome and be happy to support whatever agreement they might reach.
Q So there hasn't been any suggestion for --
MR. CASEY: No.
Q There was a report - MR. CASEY: No. There is no U.S. proposal or State Department proposal. Those reports are inaccurate.
……………………………………………………………………………………………
Mr. Lambros, we'll give you one more, then let's go to the back here.
Q On Turkey, Mr. Casey, in light of your concerns over nuclear proliferation in Iran, and Ankara's warming relations with Tehran, along with the report recently in The Times that Turkey may be involved in stealing nuclear secrets from the United States, why, then, you would want to increase nuclear technology transfer to Turkey?
MR. CASEY: Mr. Lambros, I'm not sure what, specifically, you're referring to, but Turkey's a friend and NATO ally. I'm not aware of any allegations that Turkey has ever behaved outside of its commitments under the NPT. And certainly we want to have friendly and cooperative relations with Turkey in all spheres, including in civilian nuclear.
Q And a follow-up. Was the recent announcement of nuclear agreement rushed all in response to the recent reports in The Times about Turkey's efforts to steal secrets? (Greeks For Obama note: Here is the link to that Times story, here is the Dan Ellsberg news release on the story) When President Gul came to visit this town just a few weeks ago, neither this agreement nor even nuclear energy in general was even an item in the discussion.
MR. CASEY: Mr. Lambros, the report you're referring to in The Times, which Times would that be?
Q London.
MR. CASEY: Oh, the British Times. I did see that story.
Let me just say that that story is absolutely absurd, false, inaccurate, without foundation. And it's an absolute shame that a respectable newspaper, like The Times of London, would print such pure garbage.
(Cross talk.)
So, I'll tell you, that said, in keeping with our last question
--
(Cross talk.)
Q Just to be sure, this is the report that accuses, that says, that quotes this FBI translator as saying a former undersecretary of State was -- that's the report.
MR. CASEY: That's correct. That is the report to which I refer,
yeah.
Q And your comment just now about it seemed to echo what that official told the newspaper about it. Is that -- have you been in touch with that person?
MR. CASEY: No, I haven't but I have seen what was published.
And I think I made our views clear on that.
Q (Off mike.)
MR. CASEY: The report has no validity, Mr. Lambros. It's untrue.
In terms of nuclear energy and cooperation with the government of Turkey, I know the Department of Energy has recently put out some statements on that, and I'd just refer you back to that.
Q Thank you very much.

Yeah, Mr. Lambros.
Q On FYROM, Mr. Casey, in response to an obvious fabricated front-page story regarding FYROM, published yesterday in Athens by the Greek daily K-a-t-h-i-m-e-r-i-n-i -- dispatched also by Athens News Agency, DOS officer in charge for European Affairs, Chase Beamer, stated, quote, "There is no State Department plan, as suggested in some press reports. We continue to encourage both sides to seek agreement on the name dispute, under the auspices of U.N.-led talks. We support U.N. mediator Nimitz's efforts. We will support any compromise agreed by the parties," unquote. Any additional comment?
MR. CASEY: No, that sounds about right to me. (Laughs.)
Q One follow-up: What do you mean with a compromise, since you mentioned that too, the other day, answering to question of mine, within the UN or out of the U.N.
MR. CASEY: Well, Mr. Lambros, basically, as you know, this is an issue that has a great deal of emotion attached to it, both in Macedonia and in Greece. The main point is, there is this negotiation process under way. I know Mr. Nimitz has put forward a new proposal of his own to the group. Hopefully that can be the basis for the two of them to reach an agreement.
But in terms of our view, as long as their is an outcome, and as long as there is an agreement that is acceptable to both parties, we will be pleased and happy to support that, when and if it occurs.

HILLARY:GREAT CATASTROPHE FOR CYPRUS AND ALL HELLAS!
Hellenic Case against Hillary
by
Theodore G. Karakostas
January 14, 2008
The following critique is not motivated by partisanship. I am a critic of the anti-Hellenic and anti-Orthodox policies of both major political parties. However, the focus now is Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party. In 1992, then Presidential Candidate Bill Clinton promised the Greek-American community he would not recognize Skopje with the name Macedonia. In 1994, the Clinton administration broke its promise and subsequently recognized Skopje under the Hellenic name of Macedonia. The Clinton administration subsequently tried to pressure Athens to lift the embargo that had been justifiably imposed by Greece in retaliation to the treacherous act undertaken by the Clinton administration.
On January 31, 1996 the Clinton administration represented by Undersecretary of State Richard Holbrooke supported Turkish aggression in the Aegean at the expense of Greece when the Greek flag came down from the islet of Imia. In December 1998, when the Republic of Cyprus was set to install anti-aircraft missiles as a defensive measure against Turkey, the Clinton administration supported Turkish aggression. In contrast to the pressure used by the Clinton administration to prevent Cyprus from adopting a policy of self defense, the Clintons permitted Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Al Quada to arm and train the Muslims of Bosnia against the Bosnian Serb leadership that was resisting the attempted Islamicization of the region by the fundamentalist President Aliza Azatbegovic.
During the Bosnian War, the Clinton administration permitted Turkish soldiers to go to Bosnia, the first time Turkish soldiers were present in the Balkans since the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. In 1996, Human Rights Watch traveled to Washington to lobby against the Clinton administration's sale of clusterbombs to Turkey, in light of the atrocities and war crimes being committed by the Turkish military against the civilian Kurdish population. In December 1998, the Clinton administration bombed Iraq on the grounds that Baghdad was building weapons of mass destruction. The bombing stopped before the Muslim holymonth of Ramadan.
Contrast that with the ruthless bombing of Serbia on Orthodox Easter by the Clinton administration. The Clinton administration ignored the appeals of the Serbian Orthodox Church, along with the Orthodox Churches of Greece, Cyprus, Russia, Rumania and elsewhere to halt the bombing. General Wesley Clark specifically targeted civilian targets in Belgrade, and in the aftermath of the ruthless targeting of Orthodox Christian civilians in hospitals, Churches, and buildings Islamic extremists were permitted by the Clinton administration and NATO to destroy the Serb civilians of Kosovo. As a result of the Clinton administration's anti-Orthodox policies, Osama Bin Laden and Al Quada established a presence in Kosovo and Bosnia.
Muslims in Kosovo proceeded to kidnap and decapitate Orthodox Monks Father Charitan Lukic and Stefan Purim. There is a documentary film entitled "Days Made of Fear"* which documents the destruction of hundreds of Serbian Churches and the killings of Serb civilians all of which are the outcome of the politically correct policies of the Clinton administration in making the Balkans safe for Turkey and for Islam. The rabidly pro-Turkish policies of the Clinton administration were manifested by the American role in capturing the Kurdish resistance leader, Abdullah Ocalan who unlike Yasser Arafat or Nelson Mandela, was not treated as a statesman but was condemned to prison and torture because he was the enemy of the murderous Turkish State.
In late 2000, in its final months in office the Clinton administration pressured Congress not to pass a Resolution that would have recognized the Armenian Genocide. The Clintons are no friends of Hellenism or Orthodoxy. The Clinton administration undermined Greece and Cyprus during every crisis that erupted during its eight years in office. They subsequently opened the door for the Islamicization of the Balkans. The Kosovo policy undertaken by the Clintons is a direct challenge to the outcome of the Balkan Wars of 1912-13. Greece liberated Macedonia when Serbia liberated Kosovo, and the change of borders at the expense of Serbia will encourage extremists in Skopje who desire Macedonia.
It was under the Clinton administration that NATO expanded eastward inching ever more closer to the border of Orthodox Russia. For centuries, Tsarist Russia was the only free Orthodox country and was looked upon with fear and terror by the Ottomans. Former Clinton administration officials such as Richard Holbrooke and Madeleine Albright are today active with their neoconservative successors in attempting to crush the rights of Serbia, and to undermine Russia. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton has been appealing to the Turkish lobby to support her Presidential Campaign.
In conclusion, the Clinton administration tirelessly worked to set up the various "war crimes" tribunals of former Yugoslavia. In August 1996, the Turkish government through the terrorist group known as the "Grey Wolves" slaughtered four Greek Cypriot protesters. Their murderers, along with those responsible for the crimes perpetrated during the invasions of Cyprus in 1974, and for the 1,600 missing Cypriots were never punished. All this is the record of the first Clinton administration on the national interests of Hellenism.

Hillary Clinton's Turkish Connection: Celebi , Producer Of Anti-American film 'Valley Of The Wolves'

Clinton'ýn Türk danýþmaný: Ermeni açýklamasý politik bir taktik
The statement on the Armenian genocide is a strategy to gain support.

ABD'de 2008 Baþkanlýk seçimlerinde yarýþan eski 'firstl lady', Demokrat Partlili baþkan adayý ve New York Senatörü Hillary Rodham Clinton'ýn kampanya danýþmanlarýndan Mehmet Çelebi, Clinton'un 'Sözde Ermeni soykýrýmýný tanýyacaðý' yönündeki açýklamalarýn, politik taktik olduðunu belirtti. Clinton's consultant Celebi says that the "alleged armenian genocide acknowledgement" statement by Clinton is only a tactic to gain support from the Armenians. It was a step towards potentially gaining the support of nearly 1.5 armenian voters and citizens.
Clinton'ýn buna cevabýný, "Her baþkan adayýnýn verdiði cevabýn aynýsý olarak'' niteleyen Çelebi, "Clinton ailesinin Türkiye'yi sevmesi konusunda kimsenin hiç þüphesi olmasýn. Türkiye'nin içi rahat olsun. Biz rüyamýzda Türkiye'yi bu kadar seven bir baþkan adayý bulamayýz. Baþkanlýk öncesi Türkiye'yi iki kez ziyaret eden baþka bir baþkan adayý gelmiþ deðil'' þeklinde konuþtu.
Celebi says the presidential primary election is coming in California, a place where there are nearly a million Armenians, and Turks seem non existent. He talks about the Armenians preparing presidential questionnaires - and the questions involved not only the Armenian genocide, but US Azeri relations, the genocide in Darfur. Celebi claims Clinton told her that Turkey should not doubt their love for Turkey and Turkey should rest assured. And that there has been not US president that has had such as close relationship and visit Turkey so much.
In the US, in order to have a significant effect in politics, one must contribute both personal time and money. Celebi speaks out to the Turks in the US, saying that they are few but if each turk would contribute $100-200 a year, and spends one hour a month, our status would not be this bad. After Clinton's statement, we recieved hundreds of emails and phone calls. Where were these people when they could have helped and now they are expecting answers. However, i organized 8-9 fundraising meetings. in order to raise 100-150 thousand dollars, i was forced to expand into my non-Turkish circles. Armenians raise millions in one night.
Eski Baþkan Bill Clinton ile 29 Ocak Salý günü bir araya geleceklerini, ardýndan yine bir para toplama toplantýsý yapacaklarýný ifade eden Çelebi, "Bakalým kaç tanesi gelecek?'' diye konuþtu.
In planning a meeting with former president Bill Clinton, Celebi is wondering how many people will actually show up?
Celebi is saying that it is a shame for the Turkish community to be so inactive. Its because of our inactivity that Gul, Erdogan and others have to come to the US in order to deal with these issues. Considering there are many important issues in Turkey, isnt it a shame that our leaders should have to leave everything in their homeland and come here to deal with these issues?

Clinton team's experience with Turkey is seen as a plus, while Obama
is viewed as unpredictable
Ümit Enginsoy
WASHINGTON - Turkish Daily News
While Turkey's state policy formally avoids a posture close to any of the U.S. presidential hopefuls, Turkish diplomats and other high-level officials generally favor leading candidate Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton over her chief rival Senator Barack Obama in the race to capture the Democratic Party's ticket for the November elections.
"Turkey absolutely has no position regarding the presidential election, which is wholly an internal matter of the United States. But privately individuals have their own views," said one diplomat. In private remarks, these diplomats and officials believe that a Clinton presidency will reflect the key characteristics of the eight-year term of former President Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton's husband, arguably the highest point in U.S.-Turkish relations over the past four decades.
They tend to view Obama as an unpredictable and inexperienced politician on foreign policy, surrounded by some advisers hostile to Turkey.
Obama, an African-American politician, who has emerged in his campaign as a figure for change, comes from a minority, a situation which they fear may attempt to transform U.S. foreign policy in ways that may hurt Turkey, if he is elected president.
Obama's foreign policy advisers include figures such as Samantha Power, an academic on "genocide," who is known for her extremely unfavorable views on Turkey. His key congressional backers include Adam Schiff from California, chief sponsor of an Armenian genocide resolution pending in the House of Representatives.
Clinton's top advisers, on the other hand, are mostly senior officials from Bill Clinton's term, including former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, former National Security Adviser Sandy Berger and NATO's former Supreme Commander Wesley Clarke, who know Turkey and its sensitivities very well.
Armenian matters
Those Turkish officials favoring Clinton believe that under her presidency Ankara is unlikely to encounter bad surprises. On Turkish-Armenian matters, both Clinton and Obama have backed some initiatives calling for U.S. recognition of World War I-era killings of Armenians at the hands of the Ottoman Empire as genocide. Clinton is among 32 cosponsors of a genocide resolution pending in
the 100-seat Senate, but Obama is not. However, three years ago he signed a letter to President George W. Bush calling for the recognition of the "Armenian genocide."
But despite her cosponsorship in the dormant Senate legislation, Clinton was criticized by the Armenian National Committee of America, an influential U.S. Armenian group, for "voicing reservations" in October about the adoption of the latest House resolution onArmenian genocide claims.
Some analysts say concerns by many Turkish officials over Obama's
potential presidency are baseless.
"Before the 1992 elections, then President Turgut Özal was close to then President George H.W. Bush, and was openly backing Bush. The Turks then had similar worries about Clinton," said Bulent Aliriza, director of Turkey Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a think tank here. "But the Turkish-U.S. relationship flourished to anunprecedented degree during the Clinton presidency. The same may happen with Obama."
Republican front
Also Marc Grossman, a former under secretary of state for political affairs and a former U.S. ambassador to Ankara, and Mark Parris, a former ambassador to Ankara, both said separately that regardless of who is elected the next U.S. president, he or she will appreciate Turkey's importance for Washington and act accordingly.
Turkish officials seem to have no remarkable problems with any of the outstanding Republican candidates, including Senator John McCain,
Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romneyand Rudy Giuliani.
When Giuliani was New York's mayor he backed a number of Armenian efforts, but this was considered normal due to his status as top official of a mega city with many Armenian residents. McCain, Huckabee and Romney are not close to Armenian groups.
When pressed, some Turkish diplomats will privately say that McCain, a former prisoner of war in Vietnam and one of the most experienced U.S. politicians on national security and foreign policy matters, will be the best option for Turkey.
Still many Turkish officials have reservations over a Republican victory in the face of the party's hard-line policies in the Middle East symbolized by Bush's decision to invade Iraq, which they say has hit Turkey hard.

"SAVE THE AGHIA SOPHIA" ( Yea Right! ) AND HILLARY CLINTON
Hillary Clinton's Greek lobbyists , these days, include Chris Spirou , who heads up "Free Agia Sophia Council of America " who went so far as to make the audacious claim in the Greek diaspora yellow press, or comic-book press that Greek Americans delivered the deciding vote for Hillary in New Hampshire, but what’s most vile about this level of political pandering is the cloak of religious sanctimony, Bill Clinton , historically, bombed and desecrated more people who , nominally, belong to this Orthodox Christian faith from Kosovo to Serbia, to helping the Turks blockade Cyprus's defense with the s-300 missile crisis , to supporting Turk claims on Imia, to packing the US State Department with Greek-haters.
Clinton and all his top US State Dept officials would steer clear of Greek Parliamentary speaker Kaklamanis, splattering the American press with absurd accusations that attempted to link the Greek state to terrorism, amongst many, many other outrages,
Clinton and all his top US State Dept officials would steer clear of Greek Parliamentary speaker Kaklamanis, splattering the American press with absurd accusations that attempted to link the Greek state to terrorism, amongst many, many other outrages,
Bill Clinton , who gave the execution order to bomb hospitals, public works, bridges and marketplaces filled with people for 78 days and 79 nights across the width and breadth of Orthodox Christian Serbia.
Bill Clinton, who visited Turkey officially more than any other US President EVER, reaching new sinister plataeus with criminal , Genocidal Turkey.
Hillary is very likely to be much worse, her campaign manager is Turk, and one of her main fund raisers is a Turk who financed anti-American movies in Turkey.
On top of it all, the Clintons were always on the wrong side of MACEDONIA, the Hellenic heartland which embraces Pontians and Anatolian Greeks, HILLARY has done nothing to support S. 300( notice there are only 2 other co-sponsors, besides OBAMA , which OBAMA originally introduced into the Senate.) Hillary has still not signed this important legislation regarding the annihilation of Macedonian history, symbols, and the eradication of Macedonians in the Hellenic Republic, and around the world, SHAME ON YOU HILLARY!
